Synopsis

  • disneyjunkie1984two The inspiration for me to turn the title character Rip Van Winkle from male to female came from Helen Mirren's performance as Prospera in The Tempest (2010). In the original play Prospera was a male wizard and his name was "Prospero". Which also inspired the name change from just Rip to "Ripella" and use Rip as a nickname.
