Officer Rick Grimes awakens from a coma to find the world ravaged by a zombie virus, he’s taken in by a man named Morgan and shown the ropes of the world now. After spending some time with Morgan and his son Duane, Rick sets out to find his wife Lori and son Carl. Turns out his best friend Shane has taken Lori and Carl in, and is dating Lori, when Rick returns Lori is confused because Shane said Rick had already died. Can the group navigate through all this tension to survive this mess, together?
