Fan Casting Tomar-Tu in Return to the DC Universe

The son of legendary Green Lantern Tomar-Re, Tomar-Tu got himself involved with the Green Lantern Corps by helping John Stewart after Appa Ali Apsa, one of the Guardians, took a city from his home of Xudar to Oa, helping unite the various cities of the "Mosaic", before Hal Jordan recruited him. Training under Kilowog, Tu proved himself a great Green Lantern, even as he was almost killed by Parallax when he was controlling Hal Jordan, until he was taken by the Manhunters. Saved, Tu was hesitant to trust Hal again, but he would come to respect him, and prove himself in the Corps as much as his father did.
