Wally West has been a superhero ever since he was a kid. Meeting his hero, Barry Allen, the second Flash, on a trip to Central City during summer, he was caught in a lightning blast that doused him with chemicals similar to Barry, connecting Wally to the Speed Force, leading him to become Barry's partner, Kid Flash and helping to find the Teen Titans. When Barry died during the first Crisis, Wally stepped up to become the Flash to honor his uncle, eventually rising to be as great of a hero as his uncle with a strong connection to the Speed Force.
