Hailing from Modora, a small, isolationist country not affiliated with the UN, Bito Wladon was shunned due to his parents being deaf. This, and how he was treated, left him bitter, but motivated to help his country be recognized. Using his grandfather's notes, he developed sound technology that led him to the US, and battles with Hal Jordan's Green Lantern. His actions did gain recognition for his nation, and eventually, Bito would overthrow Modora's dictatorial leadership, and become his nation's leader.
