The heavy hitter of the Fearsome Five, Baran Flinders and his older twin sister Selinda were frequently bullied due to their emerging metahuman powers. Eventually, the twins had their powers further advanced by Dr. Helga Jace, and this upgrade led them to take on a life of crime, with Baran calling himself Mammoth due to his size and strength. A towering hulk of a man with immense physical strength and durability, Mammoth is intellectually and emotionally underdeveloped, and he lacks skill as a hand-to-hand combatant, but nonetheless, despite his flaws, he is no pushover.
