Fan Casting Krypto in Return to the DC Universe

Superman's dog from his brief childhood on Krypton, Krypto was elected by Jor-El to be a test subject for one of his early prototype rockets. However, when he couldn't return to Krypton, he spent years floating in space, until his rocket eventually came to Earth, finding Clark once more and a new home. Like other Kryptonians, Krypto has gained powers under Earth's yellow sun and shows intelligence beyond most dogs, even if he still has his animal instincts. As the Dog of Steel, Krypto helps his master any way he can, to show the world he's a good boy.
