Mikhail was a Russian mercenary contracted by the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service, where he served as Captain of the Delta Platoon. He was warm hearted, recognized for his impressive leadership abilities. The U.B.C.S. were given orders to rescue and evacuate Raccoon City civilians, which Viktor intended to fulfil. Viktor was traumatized by the loss of his men, suffering lapses in memory and became seriously wounded in the fight with the zombies and set up base in a subway car inoperative. By nightfall, the platoon joined forces with Jill Valentine. After the rail transport was fixed, Viktor, Oliviera and Valentine drove toward St. Michael's Clock Tower.
