The story begins with the federal government capturing John's wife and son, threatening their safety unless he cooperates. In order to save his family, John is forced to track down and eliminate the remaining members of his former gang. He embarks on a journey across the American West, encountering a diverse cast of characters, each with their own stories and motivations.
