It's awful out here, Socrates…
Faced with adversities in his life from an abusive mother and his lack of meaningful human connections, Willard befriends a white rat and names him Socrates. Socrates assembles a horse of rats who show him there’s more to life, but when one of them is killed at work, he goes on a rampage using his rats to attack others.
