In a crossover event, the Punisher's brutal war on crime brings him to Gotham City, where his methods immediately clash with Batman's ideology. After the Punisher blows up a chemical warehouse during a gunfight with local criminals, Batman intervenes, saving a thug from execution and sparking their first confrontation. The Punisher is in Gotham to eliminate Jigsaw, who is forming a criminal alliance with the Joker. While the Punisher and his tech support, Micro Chip, track their targets, Batman and Robin monitor the same criminal activity from the Batcave, determined to prevent the kind of gang war that attracts violent outsiders like Frank Castle.
