Amanda Waller sends Task Force X, a government-sanctioned expendable black-ops unit, to the island of Badhnisia to stop Apex, the leader of the Brimstone Brotherhood, from destroying the island using a series of earthquakes created by a device known as a quake pulsar. Joined by retired Vietnam War veteran Major "Dutch" Alan Schaffer, the team successfully stops Apex, but find themselves being hunted by a group of extraterrestrial hunters who have landed on Earth to hunt the most worth adversaries as trophies.
