SCRTC (pronounced "Scratch") is a sportswear company that acts as a front for a secret martial arts academy teaching the ancient art of Beast Fist. The academy specialises in the Fierce Qi Beast Fist Arts school of Beast Fist, teaching students to harness their inner spirit of justice to generate a powerful force called "Fierce Qi". One day, a talented student of Fierce Qi Beast Fist Arts decides to defect from the academy in his pursuit of more power. He revives the opposing school of Predatory Qi Dark Beast Fist , an evil style that reaps strength from the suffering of others, and resurrects an army of undead Dark Beast Fist fighters. Opposing him are the top three students of Fierce Qi Beast Fist: the wild child Max Landors, the straightforward and honest Tessa Mitchell, and the stylish Noah Baker. With their training and Beast Fist Morphers, they harness their Fierce Qi to transform into the heroes of Fierce Qi Beast Fist Arts: the Power Rangers.
