In an alternate Shattered Grid incident, Lord Drakkon has conquered and destroyed most Power Rangers of the multiverse. His next target is the Earth of the Power Rangers Samurai. It has been a few years since the Samurai Rangers destroyed Master Xandred and went their separate ways. Now, the Nighlok have returned with a new breed of Moogers and once again attempt to raise the Sanzu River. The Samurai Rangers unite once again to defeat their ancient enemy. But when they battle the Nighlok in Japan they learn that the Nighlok are working for a new, more powerful enemy, Lord Drakkon. In the battle, Mia and Lauren are killed and Jayden critically injured. The remaining Samurai deal with the loss and recruit the Black contingency replacement Samurai Ranger, Troy. Together, they must learn to be a team again and face an enemy more powerful than the Nighlok, one they were not trained to face.
