A group of tight-knit teenagers in Angel Grove, California, come together as a team of uniformed superheroes to face any evil that comes their way. The main adversary they face is Rita Repulsa, a space villain who was previously captured by the sage Zordon but was accidentally released by astronauts. Zordon enlists the help of the teens to recapture Rita and later, to fight against other villains such as Lord Zedd, Rito Revolto, and Master Vile.
