Synopsis

The wealthy and noble Berlitz family of the Sinnoh region has a unique tradition: every member of the family must embark on a pilgrimage to the peak of Mt. Coronet, and craft a special accessory from the materials there that bears the family crest. Now, it's the young heiress Platinum Berlitz's turn, and two bodyguards have been chosen to accompany her... But due to a misunderstanding, aspiring manzai comedians Dia and Pearl end up with the gig instead! Thus, the three venture across the Sinnoh region in a journey beyond all time and space... ║ Fancast for an anime adaptation of Pokemon Adventures/Pokemon Special. This specific arc would cover the "Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum" saga of the manga, and only includes characters who debuted/gained larger roles in this arc - for characters from the past arcs, see their respective fancasts. Professional VAs only, no celebs, English and Japanese voice options available. For an additional challenge if you want it, don't use any voice actors who previously portrayed the cast's game/anime counterparts.

  • demurelyhydrated was waiting with bated breath for this one, lfg - I still need to catch up on the manga at some point but that didn't stop me from writing down a fan-cast of most of the major characters throughout the run, anyone else (minor characters, Pokémon voices etc.) I'll probably just end up shotputting lol

Sinnoh arc ended up being my favorite of the bunch (though I'm a tiny but biased because I grew up with sinnoh akdhksdhksdkls), so I was very excited to make this one!! Life just ended up happening lol. And honestly, you put so much thought into your fancasts regardless that you can just do whatever and I'd be excited to see 83

    • demurelyhydrated   @tildeheart oh believe me I'm well aware of the happenings of life lol - one of these days I'll get around to it, yay procrastination 🤞 but yeah I feel you, Sinnoh is definitely the comfiest region, even speaking as someone who had pretty much grown up with it from near the start (of the anime at least, I think Gen 2 came out in Japan maybe a few months after I was born), there's just that certain nostalgia factor involved that really tugs at the brain and I love it

    • tildeheart   @demurelyhydrated I'm pretty much in the same boat! Watched the anime and collected the tcg growing up, but didn't really start playing the game until G4 - and Sinnoh just kinda has a coziness I can't really articulate, it really feels like home
