Plants vs. Zombies: The Animated Series takes place in a fictional city of Neighborville, where Nate Timely, an eleven-year-old boy with a liking for history and pizza, had heard of events of a zombie outbreak ending with Suburbia, Neighborville’s next door town, being conquered by the zombies’ leader, Dr. Edgar Zomboss. Two refugees from Suburbia, Patrice Blazing and Crazetopher David “Crazy Dave” Blazing, moves to Neighborville to live with Nate Timely. At the same time, Dr. Zomboss begins to spread his rule throughout the United States, with Neighborville being his next target. Having learned that Crazy Dave is a master inventor, Nate Timely and Patrice Blazing helped him to create an army of mutant plants to defend Neighborville from the zombie attack.
