After Annabeth Chase was gravely wounded, Percy and Will went to the Plaza Hotel to go heal Annabeth, and took a Yamaha FZ1. They narrowly avoided being pummeled by fruit by Pompona's Statue as they ran in. When they made it to Annabeth, they pushed through a crowd of Athena kids. Will became relieved when he saw the wound and said it wasn't bad, and if he arrived a few minutes later it would have been too late. Will told Annabeth to lay still and asked someone to hand him Nectar. He poured nectar into the wound to clean it out, sang a hymn to heal her, and applied bandages. The healing took a lot out of him, and he looked almost as pale as Annabeth. He and Travis Stoll then went to rob a store for mortal medical supplies.
