Young Percy Jackson discovers he is a demigod son of Poseidon, the Greek god of the seas, being taken by his mother to a camp dedicated to training young demigods in the art of combat. Upon learning that he is the prime suspect for stealing Zeus' master lightning, Percy sets out on a journey to prove his innocence and prevent a war between the gods.
