A murder mystery in three acts set in 1500s Bavaria, Pentiment sees Andreas Maler, journeyman artist, trying to solve the mystery of a nobelman in order to spare the life of his mentor, who is suspected of the crime. Maler must learn the secrets of the small town to find the real culprit, and to understand the complex tapestry that lead the town of Tassing, and the murderer, to this point.
