Film adaptation of the Marvel Comics character directed by Paul Verhoeven
During the Vietnam War, a billionaire arms developer is brutally wounded and captured by enemy forces, who hold him captive and force him to build a devastating weapon, however, using his genius, he builds a high-tech suit of armor and manages to defeat his enemies. Now back in the United States, Tony Stark becomes a hero using his new high-tech suit and must face the forces of a terrorist group led by a powerful sorcerer.
