In her former life, Amélie Lacroix married Gérard Lacroix, an Overwatch agent leading operations against Talon. After several failed attempts to eliminate Gérard, Talon changed its focus to his wife. Talon kidnapped Amélie and put her in intense neural reconditioning, creating a sleeper agent. She came back home and killed Gérard in his sleep then returned to Talon and was given extensive training in the covert arts and an experimental marksman program. Amélie’s physiology was altered to improve her aim, drastically slowing her heart, which turned her skin cold and blue, and numbed her ability to experience human emotion. Now as Widowmaker, she is Talon's best assassin.
