Ever since the tragic car accident that took the life of her boyfriend, Taylor has been desperately trying to get her life back on track -- which hasn’t been easy, as she’s been juggling both her trauma and guilt over the situation. She figures starting a new job is as good a step as any towards recovery, and applies to work an overnight front desk at a roadside motel just a ways out of town. Lucy plays a small role in the story, but is an important figure in Taylor's life. She's her older sister and has been looking out for her since the accident, and although is very concerned about her apparent lack of sleep, congratulates her on her new job and wishes her all the best.
