Dr. Max Watson is the main protagonist. He is a goofy physicist in his early 40s who discovers the multiverse, and goes on a wild adventure. After crossing many universes, he discovers his wife always dies. Some universes see him go crazy, some see him kill himself, some of which he had already passed… but the main Dr. Max Watson is the iteration we follow is trying to protect his wife from the Black Magic. Max is funny and charismatic and learns he must balance the line of the multiverse. He tries to kill Black Magic however in a fit of rage, but ends up stabbing his wife instead, killing Evelyn from his universe. In a fit of rage, he kills Black Magic and seeks to honour her memory.
