Bri's paternal grandmother. Grandma is extremely stuck-up, though Granddaddy tells Bri at one point that Grandma is just playing—she grew up impoverished in the country and isn't well educated. Despite this, she feels superior to Jay and is constantly on the lookout for evidence that Jay has started using drugs again. She and Granddaddy care deeply for Bri and Trey, whom they cared for when Jay was addicted to drugs and couldn't care for them herself.
