Woo-Jin is the primary villain and the architect of Oh Dae-su's imprisonment, as part of a revenge plot against him for causing his sister's death. In the 2003 version, Woo-Jin was cast noticeably younger than Oh Dae-su (played by 26-year-old Yoo Ji-tae) even though they are meant to be former classmates, accentuating his power and luxurious lifestyle.
