Ben's DCCU (Phase Three)
The Joker has escaped from Arkham Asylum and has teamed up with Dr. Jonathan Crane, a deranged former psychiatrist better known as "the Scarecrow". Together, the two villains plan to make use of Scarecrow's fear-inducing toxin to engulf Gotham City in terror. Aiding them are the Joker's new sidekick, Punchline, and a pair of mutated criminals, whom Dr. Crane has offered to cure in return for their help. Batman doesn't yet realize it, but he is at his most vulnerable...and on the way, he will learn the true meaning of fear.
