Human backstory of Dwight Renfield
In this prequel to the 1997 movie The Night Flier, "Dwight Renfield" is the alias of a daring aviator from the early 20th century who vanishes after a mysterious encounter that turns him into a vampire-like creature. Almost a century later, he resurfaces as "the Night Flier", piloting a black Cessna from one rural airfield to another, leaving death in his wake. This film unfolds Renfield’s tragic transformation in the early 1920s through flashbacks, revealing the man he once was before he was cursed.
