Min-Jee, Min Joon's neighbor and drug dealer, supplies him with morphine and suboxone. Despite this, Min Joon genuinely cares for her. He discovers that she is being abused and raped by her gangster boyfriend, Seon Dae-Jung, and anonymously reports him to the police. This sets Min-Jee free and allows her to start a new relationship with Min Joon. However, their happiness is short-lived. Dae-Jung seeks revenge by having his brother kill Min-Jee. He then manipulates Min-Joon into helping him escape from prison. After Dae-Jung flees with his criminal empire, Min-Joon is devastated and falls into a deep depression due to the loss of Min-Jee.
