Moondragon is an American television series for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics featuring the character Heather Douglas / Moondragon. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. Heather Douglas, a only child adopted Mentor, an Eternal of Titan, after Thanos came to Earth, and killed her parents because they witnessed his arrival (her late father would have been reincarnated to Drax the Destroyer). Heather was raised by the Titan’s Shao-Lom monks and from the monks, Heather develops her body to its full potential, becoming a formidable martial artist. They teach Heather various scientific disciplines such as chemistry and genetic engineering; but most significantly, they help Heather tap into her latent psionic powers, present within all humans. Heather is able to develop her mental powers far beyond even those of her teachers, so much so that she eventually mentally contacts a powerful entity called the Dragon of the Moon. Unfortunately, she grew arrogant, a trait reflected by her adoption of the name Moondragon after she seemingly destroyed the cosmic demon Dragon of the Moon. The Dragon secretly survived inside her, bolstering and feeding upon the darker aspects of her personality.
