Despite her last name, Romi Charming is an ordinary teenager, as obsessed with magic as she is with witchcraft. Things change when she discovers a magical key that opens a new world where Monster Island comes to life. After venturing into Monsterland, Romi discovers that she is a half-human-witch hybrid and comes from a magical family: Cleyton Charming is her long-lost father. Cleyton is the director of Halloweenland Academy, where seven monster families teach the next generation of monster teenagers to become heroes. Now Romi is learning to use her magic and live up to her famous surname, along with new friends including Clark van Hauntley and Carissa Zombie.
