A movie based on the game "Mirror's Edge" from EA DICE. The action of the film, as well as the game, takes place in an unknown utopian city, where life is comfortable and crime is almost non-existent. This state is caused by the domination of a totalitarian regime that monitors the whole society and controls the media. It has developed restrictive laws that ruthlessly ban cigarette smoking; in addition, it conducts sham trials to maintain the appearance of democracy. Eighteen years before the events of the game, regime forces opened fire on demonstrators who disagreed with their policies, killing many civilians[15]. The action begins when the city is holding elections for a new mayor. The challenger to the currently reigning Callaghan is Robert Pope.
