Will Rollins is a thoughtful, loyal, and emotionally grounded young man who, despite his trauma and confinement, never gave up on the girl he loved or the truth he believed in. Born in Springwood, Ohio, around 1985, he began dating Lori Campbell in his early teens. At 14, Will witnessed what he thought was Lori's father murdering her mother. Unbeknownst to him, the true killer was Freddy Krueger—acting through a dream-induced illusion. To silence him, Lori’s father had Will committed to Westin Hills Psychiatric Hospital, where he remained for four years, wrongly deemed unstable. During his time in Westin Hills, Will was heavily medicated on Hypnocil, a dream suppressant used to neutralize Freddy’s reach. His only friend and ally was his roommate, Mark Davis. When Will saw a news broadcast reporting a new murder at Lori’s house, he grew alarmed and escaped with Mark to warn her. Reuniting with Lori during a chaotic time, Will learned about Freddy's growing return to power and Jason Voorhees’ sudden involvement. Although deeply out of his element, Will stood by Lori and her friends, helping to uncover the truth about Hypnocil, Freddy’s manipulation, and Jason’s deadly path. Throughout the film, Will plays a protective, emotionally supportive role—especially to Lori. He struggles with the guilt and confusion from his past, but pushes through fear to help stop two supernatural killers. He even risks his life multiple times, sustaining serious injuries along the way. In the end, Will survives the final battle alongside Lori after Jason and Freddy destroy each other in a brutal showdown.
