Manhattan, 2013: Hershel, a sarcastic, full-mouthed, racist, sexist hipster befriends two emos: an Asian bi-polar girl named Toshiko and a depressed gay man named Connor. They go to Hershel's house to smoke weed, and Toshiko does a fellatio to Hershel. Later, they go to a night club, where Hershel makes fun of Rogelio, a comedian working there. They also meet a 16-year-old nerdy, enthusiastic girl named Melanie. Rogelio and Connor start a relationship. Melanie finds out a hard secret of Hershel, and he kills her. At the funeral, Toshiko accuses him. Hershel doesn't get punished, but gets depressed, while Toshiko kills herself and Connor and Rogelio go to live with each other in Vermont, the only ones who got a happy ending.
