Description of Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler):

German mutant Kurt Wagner is the son of the mutants Mystique and Azazel, born with an appearance resembling a devil and the ability to teleport. When an angry mob learned of his existence, Mystique threw him into a well, though his father secretly saved him from the fall and was raised by the circus fortune teller and sorceress, Maragli Szardos, where he became the popular acrobat, Nightcrawler. But when Texas circus owner Arnos Jardine bought the circus and attempted to make him a part of his freak show, Nightcrawler ended up escaping, Saved from a mob by Charles Xavier, Kurt was made a member of the X-Men; a team of mutant superheroes determined to promote peace between human and mutants.
