After the events of The X-Men: E for Evolution, the X-Men were labeled as terrorists and were forced into hiding from the world for 10 years after the Sentinel Protocol was issued. However, the cataclysmic death of Jean Grey attracted Apocalypse who watched many centuries unfold. He plans for him and his underground mutant army to kill not only all humans, but all mutants who he deems as a threat to his Mutant Darwinism. The X-Men and Brotherhood of Mutants put aside their differences and fight the so-called First Mutant, but are unsure of if they can defeat possibly their strongest foe...
