Physicist and heir to Cassidy Keep, Sean Cassidy manifested his mutant abilities while saving his future wife, Maeve, from a high fall. When Maeve was tragically killed, Sean fled to the U.S. where he became a teacher at the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. His students named him Banshee.
