When an A.I.M. truck carrying experimental chemicals accidentally crashed into a shuttle bus, the only survivor was covered in the chemicals, morphing his mind and body. Realizing he no longer had to hide his nihilism and psychopathy from the world, he became the mercenary Madcap.
