Born on a Cheyenne reservation, Danielle Moonstar lost her family when a demonic bear came after her mutant abilities. Desperate to help her, Dani’s grandfather, Black Eagle, enrolled her into Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngster. There, she made many friends with her fellow mutants, naming herself Mirage.
