Description of James Montgomery (Syndrome):
Hand picked by Nick Fury to be the pilot for the Avengers Initiative after seeing him fly at an Airshow, James became the youngest student to ever attend SHIELD Academy of Operations at age 15. During his time at the school, he flew for Strike Team Delta on a mission overseas for his Year One final exam, and again for his Year Two. Then, in March of 2013, he graduated early in order to receive special training from higher ranking SHIELD agents in order to prepare for any threats to come. Once the Avengers were ready to work as a team, Nick introduced an 18 year old James as their pilot.
