The fourth installment in the Mario & Luigi series; Wario and Waluigi on one of their treasure-hunting adventures unknowingly awakens a slumbering evil pirate spirit who will rebuild his kingdom and curse the world into oblivion. Meanwhile Mario and Luigi run into Wario and Waluigi and despite their rivalry with each other, they have to work together to put the spirit back to the netherworld.
