By wanting to find a cure, he created an evil worse than all diseases !

Dr. Kirk Langstrom is a brilliant WayneEntreprise researcher, happily married to one of his colleagues, Francine. However, Kirk gradually begins to lose his hearing and since he doesn't want to be condemned to no longer hear the sound of his wife's voice, he set to work on a cure. Desperate, he began working with samples of bat DNA, before testing the serum on himself. This turned him into a horrible humanoid bat with an uncontrollable thirst for blood ! Kirk regained his true appearance the next morning but, despite the horrors that his alter-ego can cause, he secretly continued to take serum, because it temporarily allows him to completely cover his hearing and because he feels good as a winged creature ! Wanting to create a cure, the good Doctor created a new monster that terrorized Gotham: Man-Bat !
