Luke Cage: Heroes For Hire is a 2016 American Superhero film that was directed by Ryan Coogler, produced by Kevin Feige, Written by Ryan Coogler and distributed by Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures. The film sees Cage become a hero and celebrity in Harlem after clearing his name, only to face a new threat. The film stars Mike Colter, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Alfre Woodard, Gabrielle Dennis, Mustafa Shakir, Jessica Henwick, Finn Jones, and Stephen Rider and Rosario Dawson. Luke Cage: Heroes For Hire released on June 8th 2016 to mixed to positive reviews. It was widely praised as better than the first season, particularly for its narrative and cast—Woodard's performance especially—though there was again some criticism for its pacing.
