As a fan of the original novel, it is such a compelling, morally gray, and complex tale of the nuances and ambiguities of a terrible person, and how their actions ruin the lives of others despite meaning goodwill in their beliefs and actions. To give justice to the source material, the show would be animated and explore the deeper physiological aspects of Humbert Humbert, and showcase the perspective of Dolores Haze without visually seeing her or hearing her voice.
