Many years had passed, and Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh is had been really through a lot. As friends and colleagues, they are still very close, but the situation in LA is getting worse. Crime continues to rise in the city, and two aging police officers feel it may be time to take a well-earned rest. Roger Murtaugh is retired, but Riggs can't give up his job that easily. But then both would be hit by a new case against the black market in arms and drug cartels, which would gradually become personal for both of them. How will Riggs and Murtaugh handle their noon big case?
