Sophie Foster is a twelve-year-old girl with a secret: she's a telepath, someone who can read minds. This has been a burden to her, and she has to hide it because no one can know. That is, until the day that she meets Fitz, a boy who also has telepathic abilities. Sophie is transported to the elvin world, where she has to learn new rules, new physics and a new lifestyle, all while people are plotting to get her killed.
