After two years of fighting with the Freedom Fighters, Knuckles can finally continue his mission to find the Master Emerald and fix Angel Island from Eggman's attack two years ago. There was a problem, the Master Emerald was taken by thieves known as the Hooligans, led by Fang the Sniper, and now it was shattered, its shards spread around Mobius. Knuckles needs to retrieve them to complete his mission before the Hooligans could snatch them up first. Sonia willingly joins him as they go on an epic journey, meet new allies known as the Chaotix, before Fang's team could use the Emerald shards for their own personal gain. And according to the history behind it, it would be disastrous! Only Knuckles and his group could stop it.
