A young boy named Sora, whose world is destroyed by creatures of darkness called the Heartless. He gains the Keyblade and teams up with Donald Duck and Goofy, who are searching for their missing king, Mickey. Together, they travel to various Disney worlds to find their lost friends, stop the Disney villains from harnessing the power of darkness, and close the door to Kingdom Hearts.
