Disney/ 20th Century Studios Live Action Remake
13-year-old Kiki moves to a seaside town with her talking cat, Jiji, to spend a year alone, in accordance with her village's tradition for witches in training. After learning to control her broomstick, Kiki sets up a flying courier service and soon becomes a fixture in the community. Loosely based on the novel by Eiko Kadono and 1989 animated movie directed by Hayao Miyazaki, this version is set in an American seaside town in the late 1950's. Many of the characters will have slightly different first or last names than the book or animated movie. There will also be a villian in this version.
