The Justice League had been formed 5 years ago when our heroes came together to stop the Hyperclan who have descended upon Earth, convincing everyone that they are a benevolent force. But as their true nature and plans come to light, only the World’s Greatest Heroes can stop them (it is later revealed that the Hyperclan members are actually White Martians who have been disguised themselves as Alien Super Heroes who promised the entire human race to protect them from any menace in their planet specially from anything from outer space that threats life forms, just to later be setting up an full White Martian Invasion on Earth). Martian Manhunter also discovers that what Lobo told him before about the Green Martian survivors was true, they were imprisoned by the evil White Martians.
